1.Develops and implements Safety & Health policy and program for the company as accordance to the Occupational Safety & Health Act.
2.Responsible for Safety & Health issues in the plant as to meet company guidelines and regulations.
3.To conduct Safety & Health induction programme to all new and transferred employees.
4.Document and recording of all Safety & Health accidents and incidences.
5.Investigation of all accidents, take corrective and preventive actions.
6.Liaise with Chemical Health Risk Assessor (CHRA) on all matters relating to chemical risk.
7.Liaise with DOSH, DOE, Health Department, Fire Department and other related government bodies.
8.Maintenance of equipment.
9.To schedule, organize and conduct all Safety & Health training programme for employees.
10.To schedule, organize and conduct monthly Safety & Health Committee meeting.
11.To promote Safety & Health awareness and gain commitment from all employees.
12.Oversees all security matters plant wide.
13.Safe custody of Employee’s handbooks and monitor the updating of employee’s handbook record.
14.Oversees all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) items - purchase, issuance, stock control and documentation of PPE stock records.
